The BlogPaws conference was the first “real” conference that I had ever attended. Before BlogPaws I never thought a conference could be so fun and life changing. Those concepts just didn’t go together for me. Let’s be real – those “life changing” conferences can cost upwards of $500-$1000 to attend. These big events are very expensive to put on, so it makes sense that tickets are a bit of the hefty side. However, a BlogPaws ticket only makes a slight dent in your wallet at a fraction of the mainstream conference price (check out specifics here). It’s a very small price considering how much the BlogPaws conference has to offer. Let me break it down for you.
What does the cost of a BlogPaws ticket cover?
Food: I’m starting with food because everyone loves food. Not only does everyone love food, but everyone NEEDS food, and food is expensive. Get where I’m going with this? I will tell you that the food at this year’s conference in Phoenix, AZ is going to be absolutely delicious (and yes, I know from tasting it). There will be vegan and vegetarian options that were specially chosen. So, delicious food for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, AND Wednesday evening for attendees coming in a bit early. Right there is the price of the ticket. Three gourmet meals a day for three days would cost you more than $229…plus you get Wednesday night and hors d’ourves at the red carpet ceremony. If you’re not sold yet, let’s move on.
Swag: Everyone who attends BlogPaws will receive a swag bag. On your registration form you’ll choose if you want a bag of items specific to a cat, dog, or a mixture of both. You’ll receive a ton of amazing items and a t-shirt in your swag bag. Stuff. Lots of STUFF. Not to mention free samples from most of the companies in the exhibit halls. Leave extra space in your suitcase for bringing swag home. This year’s swag bag has a new look and is sponsored by Wellness® and PetSmart®! Convinced? Let’s keep it going…
Workshops and sessions: At the BlogPaws conference in Nashville last year, I learned some blog-changing information from the sessions. Some of the speakers had been in the industry for decades. They were true professionals. I left with a binder full of valuable information that I’ve used to grow my blogging business. A lot of what you can learn is information that you’d literally have to pay for online. And not only do you walk away with the new knowledge, but you get to talk face to face with the speakers if you’d like. It’s learning on a whole new level.
Red carpet and Nose-to-Nose awards: The red carpet event and Nose-to-Nose award ceremony on Saturday night closes out the conference. Come dressed in your best and walk the red carpet with your pets! Pose for a photo, which are being taken by professional photographers and don’t forget to stop in front of the BlogPaws backdrop. There will be drink vouchers for adult beverages and hors d’ourves being served while you mingle with fellow bloggers. The Saturday night dinner is plated (served on a plate to your seat) and this year the meal will be to die for. The award ceremony will be live-streamed and each award winner receives a trophy. It’s a night of fun, glam and more networking! This is all included in the price of your ticket!
Pawject Runway: This year’s Pawject Runway is sponsored by Red Roof Inn®, and boy, they are bringing us some amazing prizes! Create a one-of-a-kind fashion for your pet for a chance to win the grand prize of a 5-night stay at a Red Roof Inn and a $100 gift card! Two other winners receive a 2-night stay and $25 gift card! These are incredible prizes for the top glam creations. Pawject Runway is a great way to network while getting your creative juices flowing.

Pets: As pet bloggers, it only seems fitting that we’ll be hanging out with a bunch of animals at the conference. That right there is worth the price of admission 😉
Networking with major brands: This year we’re expecting 100+ brands to be at the conference! Last year I made new connections that ended up leading to lucrative opportunities. Just one or two gigs that you pick up at BlogPaws could pay for your ticket, even if it’s something as simple as a product review! You have to put the effort into networking, but it’s worth it 100 times over. And what’s more fun than talking to companies about your blog, rescue or business?! BlogPaws is bringing these opportunities to you, so take advantage!
The price of a BlogPaws ticket is extremely minute compared to the opportunities that the conference offers us. Whether you’re a blogger, author, rescue, small business or someone who’s just interested in learning more, the cost of admission is well worth it. You get more than your money’s worth by attending. I attended my first BlogPaws conference when I was starting to truly build my blog business. Now going into my second conference, I’ve advanced and learned SO much from the BlogPaws community. Experiencing the conference is the next step to taking your passion to the next level.

I’m so sold on the food, and the idea of not cooking for three days!! I’m hoping to land a new freelance writing client or two at the conference, so I asked my current clients to leave me some testimonials on my site in preparation.
And, of course, I’ll want to pet all of the animals!!
