Phew! June is already here and we have lots of travel plans this summer! Would you believe that I’m also turning 30 in July? It’s going to be a super fun, exciting next couple of months. I hope you’ll read on to see what we have planned, and join Wynston and I in our travel adventures.
7 Time & Budget-Friendly Ways to Seek Adventure With Your Dog
I don’t know about you, but I tend to become envious when I see some of my friends’ social media accounts. Endless picturesque photos of hikes in the mountains, camping under the stars and discovering hidden waterfalls…with a dog by their side. I always sigh out of jealousy with thoughts of, “Man, I want to do those things.” But for some of us it’s just not possible. We have families, full time jobs and budget constraints. Maybe we have physical ailments or don’t have transportation to get there. Personally, I have a bad hip so strenuous physical activity is a BIG no-go for me. I have other animals at home I need to tend to, and I don’t have ANY sort of camping experience. I wouldn’t even know where to begin. So for the rest of us in the real world, I’ve created a list of time and budget-friendly ways that you too can seek adventure with your dog.
We’re Traveling to SuperZoo 2018, and Looking for Sponsors!
After many years of wanting to attend SuperZoo in Las Vegas, this summer Wynston and I are finally going! We’re making the trek from Arizona to Nevada on June 25, 2018 to be a part of the great pet industry trade show. While my role is media/blogger at the event, I’m super excited to be making connections with other bloggers and brands! The part I look most forward to is expanding my knowledge of the pet industry. Alongside me will be Wynston, of course, because no adventure is fun without him!
So far we’ve earned a couple of sponsors for our trip, but we’re looking for more! We’re in search of brands who want to get their name in front of tens of thousands of people. Dog Mom Days was recently featured in The Arizona Republic, and we’ll be on ABC Las Vegas news on the last day of SuperZoo. You could say we’re gaining a lot of traction as of late 🙂
Our Stay at the Pet-Friendly Amara Resort & Spa in Sedona, AZ
Last week I lost my job. Crappy, right?! Meh, not really. Lack of training sure does make a job difficult! I almost have a sense of relief, and now I can focus on my blog again! I’m going to enjoy my time by going on more adventures with Wynston. To celebrate life, I decided to head up north to Sedona, AZ for a couple days to take advantage of the cooler temperatures. On the IHG website (I always stay at IHG hotels) I found the Kimpton Amara Resort & Spa in Sedona. What got me was their pet policy: “At every Kimpton boutique hotel, we invite you to bring your furry, feathery or scaly family member — no matter their size, weight, or breed, all at no extra charge. If your pet fits through the door, we’ll welcome them in.” Incredible, right?! I booked a room and started on our 2.5 hour drive a couple days later. Well, let me tell you – the resort did not disappoint. In fact, I received the best service EVER, and I travel a lot…
HempMy Pet: Hemp-Infused Products for Pets!
As you may have noticed, natural forms of medical treatment have become increasingly popular for humans and our pets. It’s no surprise that the CBD oil market has taken the pet industry by storm, offering several benefits for ailing animals. A brand now offering such hemp-infused options is HempMy Pet. HempMy Pet is a Colorado based company, whose founders have over 25 years experience collectively in the cannabis and dietary supplement industries. They offer high quality organic hemp products for our furry friends, and brand is said to be superior to all other available options. I had the chance to test out HempMy Pet with Wynston, Khloee and McKenzie Rae, and I’ve found that the products are indeed no less than top quality.
