I’ve had a really stressful last couple of weeks, but I experienced a reprieve when I received a text from my mom on Sunday night. The text read, “I know you’re super sad about Leila, but I wanted you to see these pictures. So proud of you!!.” (A post about my cat Leila is incoming.) Before the photos downloaded, I was wondering what the heck my mom was talking about. Then they loaded and it took me a second to process what I was looking at, but there I was! Front and center of the business section in the Arizona Republic!
I’m in the Ahwatukee Foothills News…Again!
Last year (2015) I was nominated for Best New Pet Blog. When the nomination came as a complete shock, Carol of Fidose of Reality encouraged me to get some local media attention. Not only did I take her advice, but I took it to a whole new level. I was on the news, in two newspapers and in a magazine within a month! That Spring was a whirlwind and craziness and excitement, and it was great to have the experience of reaching out to local media. Now that I am speaking at the 2016 BlogPaws conference this year, I once again went on the prowl for more media attention – this time for not just myself but more for the fact that the conference is coming to my home town of Phoenix!
I Am in the Local Newspaper!
I grew up in Ahwatukee, a gorgeous suburb in the southern part of Phoenix, AZ. It’s a safe, close knit community where people tend to raise their families and end up staying because it’s such a wonderful place to live. I went to elementary school, middle school and high school in Ahwatukee, so it was such an honor to be interviewed by the local Ahwatukee Foothills Newspaper about my recent BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Award nomination!
