Christmas is most fun when you have a precious doggo to share it with. I love shopping for Wynston during the holiday season because it’s a great excuse to buy him lots of extra special goodies! Forget the holiday present ideas for humans – this one’s for the dogs. Presenting the 2018 holiday gift guide for dogs.
Holiday Gift Guide for Dogs
All of these gifts are too large to fit in a stocking. But have no fear! Click here for a list of simple stocking stuffers for your furry friend. Now grab your egg nog, and take some notes:
1. Barkbox
Wynston just received his first Barkbox – the limited edition Grinch version! I’m excited about Barkbox because your pup gets a monthly surprise package filled with goodies specifically chosen for their size. Wynston absolutely loved his first Barkbox. His reaction to opening the gift was absolutely priceless. I’m looking forward to receiving it every month. BarkShop, the home of Barkbox, also has an endless variety of treats, toys and supplements available for dogs!
2. NomNomNow
Nothing says “Christmas feast” like high quality dog food! When this homemade dog food shows up at the door, Fido will be drooling with excitement. NomNomNow offers dog AND cat food, so you can give the gift of health to all of your babies! Click here to get 20% off your first order.
3. Treat Puzzles
Did you know that, for your dog, mental exercise is actually more important than physical exercise? Treat puzzles are a great, inexpensive way to get those brains working. They are great for boredom, stress, or just something to do on a rainy day. This interactive puzzle toy for dogs and cats is one of my favorites.
4. Smartbones
I swear by SmartBones. They are my favorite dog chew. SmartBones aren’t rawhide – they are an edible alternative, which can easily be digested. 10/10 highly recommend!
5. Dog Bed
If you sleep on a high quality bed, your pet should too! (Although let’s be honest – they sleep in bed with you). BUT you may have a pet that likes to lounge in their own space. Wynston loves this BarkBox Thick Orthopedic Gel Memory Foam bed, and so do my cats. If you’re on more of a budget, you can get a variety of pet beds on Amazon for as little as $10.
6. Nosework Mat
Snuffle mats are like treat puzzles, but they require more nosework. Simply throw some treats or kibble into the mat, and let your dog sniff and dig them out!
7. Pet Teepee
I am obsessed with the pet teepees from P.L.A.Y. I’m a big fan of ALL of their products, but I’d love to get my hands on one of these adorable teepees. They are a good choices for both cats and dogs!
