What I love about La Verne, CA is all of the local, small businesses. It has such a small town feel. Whenever we visit our home, we frequent a pizza place, doughnut shop and pet depot, all of which are locally owned. As usual, we had to take a trip to Katie’s Pet Depot, a super fun pet store that has everything you could possibly need! We loaded Khloee and Wynston into the car and made the grueling two minute drive.
Yesterday was Khloee’s first time ever at the beach. I figured she’d either be terrified of the ocean (since she jumped into the pool and almost drowned the day I rescued her) OR she’d love it because she’s so crazy. Well, she surprised us all!
Today we left Arizona for a relaxing stay at our California house. It’s located in La Verne, CA which is in the East LA County area. It’s a 20 minute drive to Disneyland, just to give you an idea of where it’s at. It was a quick and easy 6 hour drive, and we made it here with no problems!
I hate animal abusers.
I think animal abusers are some of the lowest, most scum bag people around. And worse? Animal killers.
We’re going to the beach! Yay! I love the beach…but who doesn’t?! Matt and I drive to California several times a year since we have a house there, but we only visit the beach a couple of times each year. In February 2014 we took Wynston to the beach for the first time. We first took Khloee in 2015, and now it’s McKenzie Rae’s turn! Now that I know what to expect and how to prepare, I’ve put together a list of items that I think are necessary for a beach trip with your dogs.
