Best Friends Animal Society is the nation’s largest non-profit sanctuary for homeless animals. Through kindness toward animals, their mission is to bring about a world where there are no more homeless pets. Aside from the incredible abundance of work that Best Friends Animal Society does at the sanctuary in Utah, the organization also puts on events nationwide to raise money for the cause. One of these fun, well-known events is Strut Your Mutt. I’m super excited to announce that this year Wynston will be a “celebrity dog” at the Strut Your Mutt walk in Phoenix, AZ, and you can come meet him!
In most of the USA, summer is the season of barbecues! Whether you’re hosting a backyard bash for a special occasion or ‘just because,’ I have some easy tips and tricks you can use to host a dog friendly BBQ!
Dogs’ Day in the Garden is a semi-annual event held at the Desert Botanical Garden in Arizona. This relaxing affair benefits the Arizona Humane Society. Last time I went to this event was in 2014, and I’m happy to report that the January 2017 dogs’ day was even more fun!
I can’t believe how quickly 2016 flew by. In January Matt and I got engaged, and by the end of December we were married! Our wedding turned out perfectly and I have hundreds of photos of our big day! While I can’t possibly share them all with you, I picked some great photos that truly showcase how beautiful our day was.
Due to my hypothyroidism, I don’t often have enough energy to attend an all day event or multiple events in a day. Sometimes I feel like a rock star, other days I struggle to work through the fatigue. I had planned on attending the AAWL & SPCA Walk to Save Animals on November 5th, and then meeting up with my girlfriends and their dogs for an evening movie. I literally prayed that I’d be feeling well enough to do both. Turns out, I was! And what a fantastic day it ended up being!
