Fall is the busiest season for pet events in Arizona. The weather is finally nice enough for people and dogs to enjoy the outdoors, and all the fun holidays are happening! You can bet we’ll be at several pet events this fall and winter season. Here is a list of fall 2018 Arizona pet events.
Fall 2018 Arizona Pet Events
- Hosted by: Arizona Animal Rescue Mission
- Where: Mesa Country Club
- When: Saturday, September 22, 5pm-9pm
- Optional charity walk: None
- Admission: $125 per person, $20 per dog
- What to expect: Formal gala dinner plus costume contest. Proceeds go to MCACC.
- Will we be in attendance? No.
- Hosted by: Friends for Life Animal Rescue
- Where: Gilbert Town Hall
- When: Saturday, October 13, 8:30am-1:30pm
- Optional charity walk: None
- Admission: Free
- What to expect: Lots of vendors, contests, adoptions, raffles, food trucks and more! Family friendly.
- Will we be in attendance? Absolutely YES.
- Hosted by: Best Friends Animal Society
- Where: Cesar Chavez Park
- When: Saturday, October 20, 9am-12pm
- Optional charity walk: Yes, $15 to register
- Admission: Free for the event itself
- What to expect: Food trucks, vendors, fun activities, contests and more! Family friendly.
- Will we be in attendance? Absolutely YES. Wynston is a celebrity guest this year (again) and we’ll be judging contests!
- Hosted by: Rockstar Rescue
- Where: Margaret T. Hance Park
- When: Saturday, October 20, 5pm-9pm
- Optional charity walk: None
- Admission: Free
- What to expect: Larger venue this year, rides, vendors, games, pet photos with the Pumpkin King, pet costume contest.
- Will we be in attendance? Probably.
- Hosted by: Arizona Animal Welfare League
- Where: Tempe Beach Park
- When: Saturday, November 3, 8am-12pm
- Optional charity walk: Yes, 2k and 5k
- Admission: Free for event, $25 for the walk
- What to expect: My favorite event of the year! An amazing walk along Tempe Town Lake, with amazing vendors, food trucks, photos with Santa, microchipping and an AAWL Alumni parade.
- We will be in attendance? Absolutely YES.
- Hosted by: City of Chandler
- Where: Tumbleweed Park
- When: Saturday, November 17, 9am-1:30pm
- Optional charity walk: None
- Admission: Free
- What to expect: Vendors, fly ball tournament, adoptions, raffles, pet psychic readings, and more! Family friendly.
- Will we be in attendance? Only if we don’t attend Dogs’ Day in the Garden, happening on the same day.
- Hosted by: Modern Canine Services
- Where: Desert Botanical Garden
- When: Saturday, November 17, 8am-2pm
- Optional charity walk: None
- Admission: $24.95 plus $4 per dog (which goes to the Arizona Human Society)
- What to expect: Join fellow dog lovers for a beautiful walk through the Desert Botanical Garden, BARKetplace, and Doga (limited spots).
- Will we be in attendance? Most likely.
- Hosted by: Fieldworks Events & Marketing
- Where: Freestone Park
- When: Saturday, December 8, 8am
- Optional charity walk: Yes – 12k, 6k, 1.2k
- Admission: Free for the event, price varies depending on length of run
- What to expect: Santa’s Pet Village, Christmas Bazaar, caroling, prizes and awards. Family friendly.
- Will we be in attendance? No.
