There are three important birthdays in our house during the month of June! Khloee’s birthday is on the 1st, Joey’s is the 10th, and Matt’s is the 25th! Let’s be honest – the real celebrations are for Khloee and Joey 😉 If Khloee and Joey were people, they’d be the “I really don’t need a birthday party or any sort of celebration for that matter…” people. So instead, here’s a birthday post for my babies!
Joey Turns 7 Years Old
I cannot believe my little disabled guy is seven years old. It makes me sad, honestly. Although cats are known for living long lives, I worry about my Joey. His disability, radial hypoplasia, doesn’t seem to slow him down, but he’s getting old. I fear the day when I notice he starts walking or jumping less. He really doesn’t seem any different than he was when I adopted him at two years old.
I’m an overprotective mom when it comes to my animals, but especially Joey due to his special needs. However, this is a celebration! Joey is SEVEN years old! Wow. Time sure does fly when you’re the mom to a brat who knows he can get anything he wants from you!
Happy birthday, my angel cat!
Khloee Turns 3 Years Old
Matt and I rescued Khloee when she was three months old in 2014. It seems like just yesterday we welcomed the little ball of fluff into our home. I wish Khloee would appreciate a birthday party, but she’d rather have some extra time with humans or some one-on-one fetch with a ball in the backyard. Khloee, aka Poodle, sure has turned into a sassy girl. She is truly a gift from God. Khloee is great around all animals and humans, making her my “easiest” dog when it comes to having people at the house or being social.
For Khloee’s birthday I made some special cupcakes! I have a delicious recipe for DIY doggie cupcakes that my dogs absolutely love, and I know yours will too! Joey got to enjoy a special can of Dr. Elsey’s pate wet food, and some time outside in the sun.
Next on the list of birthdays (besides us humans) is Wynston in September. Of course I will throw him a doggie birthday party like I do every year! How do you celebrate your pet’s birthday?
