Recently I walked into the vet’s office to pick up some medication for Wynston. Upon arrival I was greeted by a receptionist whom I’ve only met a couple of times. She asked, “What is your name, again?” “Amanda,” I replied. “Wynston’s mom.” “Ohhhh! Wynston’s mom!!! I remember now!” I just smiled. That’s not the first time I’ve been referred to as Wynston’s mom, and I’m proud. I’m completely grateful for my dog mom status and soak up every ounce of the glory. Owning the role of Wynston’s mom is simply the best thing ever. He’s the perfect boy and he makes me a better person. In celebration of National Pet Day, I’ve compiled a list of reasons why I love being Wynston’s mom.
Why I Love Being Wynston’s Mom
I know how loved he is by soooooo many people.
I never feel alone with him by my side.
He’s the perfect model.
He defies negative stereotypes.
I can take him anywhere.
Our bond is incomparable.
He constantly inspires me.
He makes the best travel companion.
He always knows when I need him most.
I can be obsessed with him and he doesn’t think I’m weird.
He’s by my side no matter what life throws at me.
He’s the reason I have an incredible career.
The role of “Wynston’s mom” is my favorite thing in this world. Some people don’t like being defined by a motherly role, but in this particular case, I embrace every second of it. Wynston is the reason I live my life as a full time pet blogger and social media account executive. I’m forever grateful for his inspiration.
For National Pet Day, I want to hear why you love being the mom or dad to your animals. Tell me in the comments!

So, I googled the word “proud” and this is what Google gave as their definition:
feeling deep pleasure or satisfaction as a result of one’s own achievements, qualities, or possessions or those of someone with whom one is closely associated.
“a proud grandma of three boys”
I would only change the last sentence to “a proud Mother of two boys.”
I NEVER miss a chance to go home and make out with my boys. And I’m not ashamed to say it!

“Proud” is amazing word for how Wynston makes me feel. We are a couple of lucky moms!

Kinley makes everyone happy – she always has a smile and literally stops traffic on her walks and bike rides. But most of all, she makes me happy since she is such a sweetie!
