It’s not very often that Matt, Khloee, Wynston and I all get out to do something together. Normally I take one or both dogs out with my girlfriends or if we are all together, it’s to go to California.
Tuesday was the perfect day to head to Downtown Gilbert and enjoy our morning outside. The forecast was showing mostly cloudy with 50% chance of rain. The high for the day was 77. For Arizona in October, we embrace this weather. It’s like a dream come true! We love, love, LOVE rain but throw in some cool temps and us Arizonans go crazy with happiness.
Our date place was Bergies Coffee. I am now obsessed with their cinnamon rolls and hot spiced apple cider. Bergies is a small, local coffee & roast house. Like most places in Downtown Gilbert, it’s extremely dog friendly. Matt, Khloee, Wynston and I made ourselves at home at a nice patio set and relaxed for about an hour. Khloee and Wyn are SO easy to watch. They just hang out on the chairs or maybe sniff the ground around us. Other than that, they are very well behaved.
We spent about an hour sipping our drinks and sharing a cinnamon roll while Khlo and Wyn took in all the smells and sounds. Afterwards we decided to walk downtown a bit because the weather was so gorgeous and my kids love to explore. Downtown Gilbert has a super small town feel and I absolutely love spending time there.
We had a wonderful morning together as a family. It was nice to get out and do something different on such a beautiful day! Luckily we have a lot more fun coming up in the next month – this weekend I’m taking Khloee and Wynston to Payson, AZ and next weekend we’re all headed to our California house! It’ll be a fun October!
