Recently I asked my friends for suggestions of local dog-friendly restaurants that they’d recommend. The keyword here is “local.” There are lots of places that welcome dogs on their patios but many of them I can go to anywhere in the US. I wanted to take Wynston somewhere new and original because lately I’ve been craving adventure. I invited my mom and Cooper for lunch at the Ginger Monkey in Chandler, AZ and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect way to ring in the fall season!
Wynston’s First Southwestern Road Trip!
As I’m sitting down to write this recap of our road trip, I don’t even really know where to begin. It was such a whirlwind of chaos, and I’m having a hard time putting it into words in my head, let alone into a blog post. If you don’t already know, Wynston broke his foot the day after we arrived in El Paso, Texas. You can read that entire story here. Although the ordeal cut our “to-do” list short, I still had a wonderful, relaxing time away. While out of town I quickly realized that there was silver lining to Wynston breaking his foot away from home, and it almost made our trip better! Imagine that 🙂
Pining for Payson
Wynston and I leave for our big Southwestern road trip a week from today! But first – we were pining for some relaxation in Payson at my mom’s second home! We enjoyed our time there as usual, and it sure did get us in the road-trippin’ spirit. This was Wynston’s first trip up to Payson since mom adopted Cooper, so check out our wonderful photos and super cute videos.
Wynston and I Are Hitting the Road!
For a long time now I’ve been wanting to travel with Wynston. You know, just hit the road and see where it takes us. I want to explore the country, write about it and enjoy every second with my son. Well folks, it’s happening. Instead of continuing to put it off, I decided to just do it! My life has been about doing what I love and taking risks, so this time is no different. On August 31st I head out with Wynston for our first road trip – just the two of us! We’re going to see some of the Southwest. Destinations: New Mexico and Texas.
