On February 23, 2020, we adopted a senior dog from the Chihuahua Rescue of San Diego County. Her name is Penny, and she’s PERFECT. Since bringing home a new pup, and a senior at that, we’ve had lots of questions about Pen and how she’s doing. So let’s jump right in for a Q&A session!
Meet Our New Family Member, Cooper!
Would you believe that my mom has never owned a dog in her adult life? Well, I’ve been wanting my mom to adopt a furry friend for years now and she finally did it. Granted, she had great reasons for not adopting a dog in recent years (which I wish more people would consider) – she was too busy with school and work, and my stepdad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Recently, however, we got good news on my stepdad and things are looking up. So when I tagged my mom in a post on the Arizona Animal Welfare League Facebook page, I hardly expected her to take it seriously. Then less than 24 hours later, my mom became a dog mom to the adorable Cooper. Allow me to introduce you to this super cute little muffin!
Happy Gotcha Day, Khloee!
I can’t believe it’s been a year since I brought Khloee home. I will never forget the text message I got with her photo. She had been left at the boarding facility that I’m the marketing director for, and it was kind of an emergency situation. The owner and manager of the facility didn’t know what to do with Khloee so of course they texted me. When I saw her photo, my heart melted. I knew that if she wasn’t going to be mine, one of my family members or friends had to take her!
