I don’t usually participate in Halloween events with my dogs because both Khloee and Wynston despise costumes. One year I got Wynston a cow outfit and he wouldn’t even move in it…anyways I saw a flier for Howl-o-ween hosted by Bink’s Midtown and The Dog Party and knew I had to go! I love The Dog Party and the wonderful ladies who own it so I figured I’d take Wynston. What’s better than enjoying a low-key Halloween event on the patio while eating yummy food and browsing dog mom merchandise? Sounds like the perfect Sunday to me!
Bink’s Midtown is a quaint restaurant with a super cute patio and delicious food. I picked up my sister Megan and her dog Tucker on our way to the event so we could enjoy a Sunday afternoon cocktail together! When we arrived, we made our way to the patio and made ourselves at home. The Dog Party had product set up to buy and there were appetizers floating around. Wynston and Tucker quickly became acquainted with other dogs at the event and we made our spot in a cozy corner of the patio.
Tucker and Wynston got to enjoy several treats for being so well behaved, including a gourmet pretzel and meatballs! There was a costume contest at the event but since neither Wyn nor Tucker appreciate costumes, the best we could do was a t-shirt and bandana! They looked really adorable anyways. There were several very nice costumes at the event who were awarded prizes 🙂
Megan and I enjoyed a delicious strawberry margarita while we took in all of the action and munched on our delectable food. Howl-o-ween was a very intimate event, which was nice. Most Halloween events for dogs can be really overwhelming, especially for small dogs, so this was perfect for us. I ended up expanding my dog mom wardrobe by nabbing a new “dog mom” shirt from The Dog Party. I couldn’t resist! We stayed at Bink’s Midtown for about an hour and a half then took off to relax for the rest of our Sunday. Enjoy our pictures!
Do you take your dogs to Halloween events? Have you been to one this year?
