It’s officially the Christmas season! All of the hustle and bustle has begun and everyone is starting to fill their shopping carts with gifts for family and friends. While you’re out and about among the crowds, don’t forget to pick up a present for Fido – after all, he is part of the family!
I love shopping at Walmart. They have everything I need from food, to electronics, to hair care, to pet products! I know it’s a busy time of year, but how about taking some time to relax and create a fun gift for the pampered pooch in your life? You can even make presents for other special dogs in your life. While you’re doing your holiday shopping at Walmart, pick up the following items for DIY Mini Dog Treat Jars:
- Mason jars
- Fabric
- Ribbon
- Pup-Peroni, Milk-Bone and Milo’s Kitchen dog treats
- Rubber bands
Step One: Fill a mason jar with Big Heart Pet Brands treats!
Step Two: Lay a square piece of fabric on top of the mason jar. Size will vary based on how big the mason jar is.
Step Three: Put a rubber band around the top of the mason jar to secure the fabric in place. Adjust as needed.
Step Four: Tie a piece of ribbon around the rubber band to cover it.
For the DIY Mini Dog Treat Jars, I used a couple of different fabrics and ribbons. You can really customize the jar however you want, and add your personal touch! If you choose, you can add cute holiday tags to each one.
For this particular project, I used Milk-bone and Pup-Peroni treats! They fit really nicely in the small mason jars. Milk-bone offers treats in assorted colors, so that adds a bit of flare to the DIY Mini Dog Treat Jar!
There are a lot of fun DIY projects that you can create for your beloved pups this year. Visit the Walmart website for more inspiration and craft ideas!
Will you be giving your dog a special gift this year for the holidays?

I’ve done this before! It’s such a great idea and so easy! 🙂
We have to stick to the grain free/all natural treats though.
