I can’t even begin to describe how insane the last couple of weeks have been and how much crazier life is about to become. Luckily it’s (mostly) positive things! I figured it’d be best for me to lay it all out in a post so you can easily continue to follow us on our journey.
Most of you know that Matt and I just bought a house. It’s our dream home. We got everything on our “must-have” list and more. The process has been easy and we close on June 30th. We plan to do most of our moving on July 2nd. For the last couple of weeks we’ve been going through the entire home buying process and now we’re packing up our current house. It’s funny to see how much Matt and I have accumulated over the past three years in our 1800 square foot house. Luckily our new home is 2700 square feet! But still, packing is a pain. It’s been using up all my free time. The stress of buying the house is over and the excitement has begun. I cannot wait to move! Two more weeks!
Wynston has a last minute professional photo shoot tomorrow so we’re trimming nails and bathing in preparation for that! Last night Wyn seemed to be under the weather but thankfully he seems to be back to his normal self now 🙂 If you’ve ever been interested in your dog being a model, here are some tips on how to prepare your dog and yourself for a photo shoot!
BlogPaws is next week. Wait, what? Where did the last six months go? I feel like I just found out that I’m a BlogPaws speaker and Ambassador this year! I’m beyond thrilled to once again be so involved in the BlogPaws conference and of course Wynston will be there with me. Everything is so much better when I have my boy by my side. Here’s a bit of what we’ll be up to:
Wednesday June 22: PetSmart Corporate tour, afternoon tea with American Animal Hospital Association, evening event hosted by PetSmart
Thursday June 23: A couple of workshops, yappy hour hosted by Purina, evening kickoff events
Friday June 24: My mom is joining me for the day, I put on a presentation at 2:30, attend a couple of sessions and enjoy happy meow-ur
Saturday June 25: Wellness VIP breakfast, Virbac VIP brunch, SEO workshop, Nose-to-Nose red carpet ceremony and award show (wait till you see my dress!)
If you’re following us on social media, I will be post a ton during those four days! Wynston is the reason I’m doing all of this so you can bet you’ll see an overload of pictures <3 You can find us on Instagram and Twitter at @DogMomDays.
Wynston and I will be home from BlogPaws on Sunday. I’m grateful that the conference is only 25 minutes from our house this year! However, I am looking forward to a possible BlogPaws road trip next year!!
After our big pet blogging event, we have a few days to recover before we move. After we move into our house, Matt and I will have my mom and stepdad over for the 4th of July. Yay pool party! A couple of weeks later, my baby brother comes home on leave from the Army. He’ll be home for my birthday on July 22nd. A new house and my brother coming home? Best. Birthday. Ever. But also the craziest two months ever!
Even though the last few weeks have admittedly been overwhelming, I’m feeling better and more excited than stressed. Thanks to all of you for supporting us and for all of your well-wishes on our new home 🙂 I will be doing a live video tour of the house when we move in!

Wow! You have a full schedule! Before, during, and after BlogPaws. We moved last year and I don’t envy all the packing and moving you’re going to have to do following BlogPaws.
