Matt and I are getting married on 12/29/16. Words cannot describe my excitement! Of course, everyone keeps asking me “how are your dogs going to fit into your wedding?!” Most people know it’s not a question of “if” but of “how” all my babies will be included in our celebration. So far the plan is to have Khloee and McKenzie Rae be our flower girls. Wynston will be the ring bearer. Dogs are allowed at our venue (otherwise we wouldn’t have chosen it) so I plan to take full advantage. Here are some other ways you can include your dog in your special day!
Six Ways to Include Dogs in Your Wedding
Engagement photos: There are SO many ways you can include your dog(s) in your engagement photos. All three of our dogs will be in ours, but Matt and I have yet to decide exactly what we want to do. My gorgeous best friend Andria and her fiance Paul had their dog, Dexter, in their photos. There are so many ways you can go about it.

Save the dates: Many couples send out “save the date” cards to their intended wedding guests. This is another way you can get creative with integrating your pups into your lifelong commitment!

Have them at your wedding: Wynston, McKenzie Rae and Khloee will all be a big part of my special day. I’m going to get them all matching, custom outfits! It’s going to be spectacular! Heck, your dog could even be a bridesmaid or groomsman! The possibilities are endless.

Invite them to the reception: Maybe your dog can’t be at the ceremony, but how about a reception invite?! Many receptions are outdoors or tend to be in more dog friendly places. You won’t regret having some amazing photos of your dog at your big day!

Invite your friend’s dogs: Step it up a notch and let your friends invite their dogs! Of course you’ll need to have a dog-welcoming venue. I’m sure you’ll know if your friend’s dogs are well behaved enough to mingle at a wedding where there are lots of people, food and other dogs.
Doggy decor: You can bet there will be doggy decor involved in my wedding reception. It could be elements such as guest favors, centerpieces, photos or a cake topper!
