I seriously cannot believe that the time has come for BlogPaws 2016! I feel like I was just in Nashville for the 2015 conference! This year were very lucky to be able to check into the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass one day early. This has allowed us to get settled into the hotel with no stress. We got to walk around, order room service and see some of our friends already!
Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass
I signed Wynston and I up to be Starwood Preferred Guests. Sheraton hotels are under the umbrella of Starwood hotels across the country. They are extremely dog-welcoming so I decided to sign up for the program. It will be helpful if BlogPaws takes place at a Sheraton again next year! We’re staying in the “preferred guest” wing of the resort and with that comes this spectacular view when we walk onto our room patio. I’d say that’s deluxe!!! I can just walk Wynston right outside the room in the morning to go potty. Yessssss.
When Wynston and I got to our room and settled in, we ordered room service! Room service is a great option if you have a dog and don’t want to leave them in the room to go eat a meal. We shared a grilled mesquite chicken sandwich. It was delicious and Wynston would agree.
I’m happy that I’ve already run into several of my blogging friends! When I first walked into the resort, I immediately saw and greeted two co-founders of BlogPaws, Yvonne and Tom. I’d say that’s a fitting entrance! I also saw my friends Kelsie, Bernard, Maggie and Emmy. Did I mention I can’t believe it’s happening?!
As you can see, Wynston has settled into the hotel nicely. We took some time to walk around the resort, inside and out. It is very toasty outside but the desert scenery is still beautiful. Even though I live just 25 minutes away, I feel like I’m on vacation here!
Tomorrow we will have room service delivered to us for breakfast then at 10am we are heading out on a PetSmart corporate tour! When we get back to the resort, we’ll head to the VIP AAHA afternoon tea, followed by the evening pre-event sponsored by PetSmart. It’ll be a long, busy, amazing day which is why I was relieved to be able to check into the hotel tonight. I think I will be in bed early with my boy so we’ll be refreshed for tomorrow.
Over the next few days, we will be sharing photos on social media like crazy. Be sure you are following us on Twitter and Instagram at @DogMomDays. We will be using #BlogPaws and #BlogPawsForTheWyn to document our journey. Look out for more blog posts also! I hope to do live video at some point but I tried today and my phone was telling me I didn’t have enough service strength. If you are following us on social media, you’ll know when we are live.
Let BlogPaws 2016 commence!
