Being a Millennial, when I hear “Mitsubishi” the first cars that come to mind are the Lancer and Eclipse. I mean, hello?! The Fast and the Furious anyone? I’ll be honest – until I tested out the 2018 Outlander Sport, the Fast and Furious movies were the extent of what I knew about anything Mitsubishi.
When I was granted the opportunity to drive the Outlander Sport for 10 days, I was extremely curious and excited. I had so many questions about Mitsubishi. Although I have extensive car knowledge, there are brands that I really don’t know anything about. Then it happened; the beautiful car showed up in my driveway and it was love at first sight! My friends, the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is the perfect dog mom mobile, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you.
2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Let me start by saying how amazingly sporty and fun this car looks. I absolutely LOVED the red. It glistened in the sun, and every time I saw it I was practically drooling. This adventurous crossover is perfect for getting around town, going on road trips or hitting the trails. I took the Outlander Sport north to Payson, AZ, and I have to climb the mountains in order to get there. I was extremely impressed by the power it had. The car had zero issues keeping up the pace and it really had a lot of oomph! Truthfully I wasn’t expecting it, so I was pleasantly surprised.
The interior of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is comfortable and had a cozy feeling. It didn’t feel small like a sedan but it wasn’t overly large like a full size SUV. Ultimately it was perfect for myself and three dogs! I even fit my sister and mom in the car with all of our luggage for Payson in it with no issues. The trunk space is deceivingly large, which was also a welcome surprise.
One thing that stood out to me about this fantastic vehicle was the technology. The 7″ touch screen display was very user friendly. It literally took me about 30 seconds to hook up my phone to the Bluetooth. The sound quality for the music was extraordinary and I enjoyed all of the options. So far this is the best touch screen display I’ve had the pleasure of testing out in a car.
Some “extra” features that I enjoyed were the push button start, panoramic glass roof and heated seats. The auto settings on the air conditioning and heater were also an added bonus. I liked the little cubby hole in the trunk where you can put extra goodies. Little things like that really made the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport feel like it was designed for me!
Everyone who had the pleasure of riding shotgun with me in the Outlander Sport had nothing but great things to say about it! My mom, who currently drives a Honda CRV said that she would most definitely considering the car for her next vehicle. Many of my passengers mentioned that they didn’t really know about the Outlander Sport but now that they do, the are likely to look further into the make and model when they are in the market for a new car.
So let’s talk about the most important part – my dogs! 😉 All of my babies loved the car. Wynston took to it immediately, making himself comfortable. It was nice and easy to put my Kurgo seat cover on the back seats, which I appreciated. The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is such a smooth ride, making it the perfect vehicle for road trips. I could easily see myself making a cross country trip on this car with Wynston. Khloee, Wynston and McKenzie Rae all approve and think YOU should test drive an Outlander Sport.
Overall I would absolutely trade in my current car for one, and I bet you would too if you test drove one! It’s the perfect dog mom mobile for every type of lifestyle.
Are you familiar with the amazing new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, or any other Mitsubishi vehicles? Would you consider test driving one?
