I’ve had a really stressful last couple of weeks, but I experienced a reprieve when I received a text from my mom on Sunday night. The text read, “I know you’re super sad about Leila, but I wanted you to see these pictures. So proud of you!!.” (A post about my cat Leila is incoming.) Before the photos downloaded, I was wondering what the heck my mom was talking about. Then they loaded and it took me a second to process what I was looking at, but there I was! Front and center of the business section in the Arizona Republic!
My December Blogging Hiatus: I’m Getting Married!
A while back I decided that I would take December off of blogging. I’m getting married on 12/29/16 so I want to be able to focus on the wedding and Christmas without any added stress. Blogging isn’t stressful at all, but I don’t want an extra to-do list hanging over my head. My brother is also coming home on leave, which is why Matt and I are having a December wedding in the first place! I want to be able to spend as much time as I can with my baby brother before he walks me down the aisle on my big day.
We’ve Arrived at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass for #BlogPaws!

I seriously cannot believe that the time has come for BlogPaws 2016! I feel like I was just in Nashville for the 2015 conference! This year were very lucky to be able to check into the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass one day early. This has allowed us to get settled into the hotel with no stress. We got to walk around, order room service and see some of our friends already!
Making Final Preparations for BlogPaws!

This is it folks! The official countdown to BlogPaws is upon us! We are now in June and the conference is just weeks away. I’ve been preparing for months but there is a lot to do as we get ready for the big event. Here are some last minute items to be sure to take care of before you make the trek to Arizona!
I’m in the Ahwatukee Foothills News…Again!
Last year (2015) I was nominated for Best New Pet Blog. When the nomination came as a complete shock, Carol of Fidose of Reality encouraged me to get some local media attention. Not only did I take her advice, but I took it to a whole new level. I was on the news, in two newspapers and in a magazine within a month! That Spring was a whirlwind and craziness and excitement, and it was great to have the experience of reaching out to local media. Now that I am speaking at the 2016 BlogPaws conference this year, I once again went on the prowl for more media attention – this time for not just myself but more for the fact that the conference is coming to my home town of Phoenix!
