At a time where news is always negative and social media is running rampant with depressing stories, here’s one of human kindness and compassion. This is a story of how the employees at a small town Travelodge took immediate action to ensure my dog’s safety when I was rushed to the hospital.
Our Day at the Dinosaur Exhibit
I am SO behind on my blog posts. Don’t judge me – travel tends to slow me down! I absolutely love traveling with my son, but it sure is hard to keep up with posting. Anyways, you’re not here for excuses. You’re here for PHOTOS!
Recently we were invited by my good friend Kama of Chi Pets to visit a dinosaur exhibit in Scottsdale, AZ – Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs. We couldn’t pass up the incredible experience, so we met with 20+ people AND dogs to come face to face with dinos. The excursion was meant to be a socialization and training outing, and it was SO much fun!
Our Travels by the Numbers: First Half of 2019
Back in January I chose my ‘word’ for 2019. I picked “adventure” because I knew I wanted to spend time traveling, exploring and trying new thing with Wynston. And boy, 2019 has been a year of adventures so far! It’s been an incredible last six months, really. I thought it would be fun to outline our travels thus far with some statistics. Here goes!
Our Very First Trip to Oklahoma…and I Got Sick!
Oklahoma was never on my “to visit” list. Like, ever. In fact, it was more likely on my “will probably never visit there” list. But things change, and I went from saying “I would never live in Oklahoma” to “I would absolutely love to live here” after visiting the beautiful state for my first time. My trip did not go as planned, however. I got really freaking sick the morning after I arrived into town. I did my best to salvage what I could of our first time there, and I got some fun pictures of the very little time we spent outside the hotel room.
Recap: Our June 2019 Trip to Indianapolis, IN
I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1988. I am a Hoosier through and through, but I’ve lived in Arizona for 20 years now. Indiana is “home” but as of mid 2019 it had been 10 years since I had visited. Needless to say, I was due for a trip back, so I decided June was the perfect time. Not only was I dying to go back home but I was also super stoked to take Wynston to see where I grew up. Our trip was incredible, and I already can’t wait to go back.
