It’s the continuation of our “Mommy and Me Monday” series! I had some errands to run today so it was the perfect opportunity to spend some time with my boy. Luckily most of the places we shop are dog friendly so I packed up Wynston and headed out, blanket and treats in hand.
Our first stop was Hobby Lobby. Yes, Hobby Lobby is dog welcoming! Wynston always gets lots of attention since he rides shotgun in the shopping cart. I bring treats with me on our outings to use as positive reinforcement because Wyn isn’t a big fan of humans. When someone wants to pet him, I give them a treat to offer him first. This is great training because he learns to associate shopping and people with a delicious snack. Today we were shopping for plain t-shirts, a picture frame, DIY items and engagement photo ideas.
Our next stop was Dollar Tree. I wanted some St. Patrick’s Day goodies and I also wanted to pick up the animal rescue coloring books I had seen a couple of weeks prior. While there, Wynston picked out a toy and exchanged some flirty glances with a cute little girl.
After our quick errands, we went through the drive-thru and Wynston may have gotten a bite or two of a french fry. He deserved it for being some phenomenally behaved, as usual!
Here’s a list of dog friendly stores and restaurants if you’re looking to take your pup out and about! Are there any specific stores that you like to go with your dog?

I had no idea Dollar Tree was pet friendly.
Wynston is so photogenic! That’s a great idea for encouraging good behavior towards people with him.
Sounds like yall had a nice day out.

This is such a cute series. Boca needs to start getting out more to practice for BlogPaws!
Amanda says
Wynston was a lot more overwhelmed at BlogPaws than I thought he’d be. So I’m making sure we get out more! It’s definitely great practice.
