Dog moms and dads can relate: you’re on a walk with your pup and you say something to yourself or to your pup that would sound completely outlandish to a passerby. You stop and chuckle, realizing that you are that pet parent. I’m very mindful when I say or think “crazy dog mom” thoughts, and I’ve compiled a list for you. Dog Mom Recommendations: Best Dental Chews for Small Dogs
Dental chews are a part of my daily dog mom routine. Wynston, Khloee and McKenzie Rae all have nice teeth and I credit it to keeping them on a strict dental regiment. I admit I’m not the best at cleaning my dog’s teeth, but I do hand out “dentals” every single morning. Wynston is seven years old and he still doesn’t have periodontal disease. A whopping 80% of dogs and cats have the onset of periodontal disease by the time they are three years old. Wynston did have to have a few teeth removed due to a baby tooth that still existed and caused two teeth to grow in abnormally, but it wasn’t initiated by poor dental health. My secret is daily dental chew. Here are what I consider to be the best dental chews for small dogs.
Walking a Day in My Dog Mom Life
I can confidently say that my life would be a heck of a lot different (aka boring and meaningless) if I wasn’t a dog mom. I’d have more money, less messes to clean and more solid sleep at night, but my bed would be empty and my day would be bland. Wynston has shaped my life into one of excitement, entertainment and adventure. From our beautiful travels to our simple daily routine, my life revolves around my dog. I want to give you a glimpse into my daily dog mom life, as there’s a never a dull moment!
Summertime Travel Tips for Pet Parents
Summer tends to be the season of travel. Kids are off from school, many corporate industries slow down and the weather is nice in a majority of the country. As all of my vacations include Wynston, it’s becoming mainstream for families to include their dogs in travel plans. Summertime offers potential weather risks that may not exist other times of the year, such as overheating, monsoons or terrible humidity. Consider these summertime travel tips for pet parents if you’re hitting the road or skies with your pup this season.
