I’m not into the whole “new year, new me” thing, but as we enter a new year it’s a good time to create a list of to-dos and goals. It’s kinda of nice to have the feeling of starting fresh! 2016 was absolutely insane for me…in a good way! This year I have a plethora of career goals, but let’s take it one day at a time. I have some priorities to get in order, some of which involve my pets. Take a look at this simple New Year’s pet parent checklist that I’ve put together for you.
“Where can I adopt a dog from? What are some good dog groomers? Do you know of any good veterinarians? Where can I board my dog?” These are common questions I get from my Arizona friends, so I’ve put together a list of my recommendations for you! (And if you live outside of Arizona this list may give you some ideas as to where to look for these services.)
The “pound” is a depressing place. I cry every time I go. And that’s no joke. Seeing terrified, sick animals behind chain link doors never gets easier to deal with. Especially seeing senior dogs look up at you as you walk by…ugh. You can’t help but wonder if they are going to spend their last days on earth alone in a kennel. But these are all of the reasons I go to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. If someone doesn’t help and speak for these animals, who will?
