It’s taken me an entire week to get my act together after attending SuperZoo 2018. It was three days of fun, networking and pets! I thought for sure that I’d be overwhelmed by the experience, but quite the opposite was true. At SuperZoo I was in my element – pet blogger heaven, you could call it. I couldn’t possibly cover ALL of the brands I visited and connected with in one blog post, but I’d love to share some noticeable trends, new brands that I discovered, as well as familiar brands that I was excited to meet in person. You won’t want to miss some of these SUPER cool companies and products!
We’re Traveling to SuperZoo 2018, and Looking for Sponsors!
After many years of wanting to attend SuperZoo in Las Vegas, this summer Wynston and I are finally going! We’re making the trek from Arizona to Nevada on June 25, 2018 to be a part of the great pet industry trade show. While my role is media/blogger at the event, I’m super excited to be making connections with other bloggers and brands! The part I look most forward to is expanding my knowledge of the pet industry. Alongside me will be Wynston, of course, because no adventure is fun without him!
So far we’ve earned a couple of sponsors for our trip, but we’re looking for more! We’re in search of brands who want to get their name in front of tens of thousands of people. Dog Mom Days was recently featured in The Arizona Republic, and we’ll be on ABC Las Vegas news on the last day of SuperZoo. You could say we’re gaining a lot of traction as of late 🙂
How Millennials Have Changed the Pet Industry
Driving the pet industry to become the billion dollar industry that it is, Millennials are the primary pet-owning demographic. With 35% of pet parents being Millennials, it’s no surprise that we are the ones propelling the bottom line of pet companies and retailers. Our generation has changed the way pets are catered to, as we’re the first to have more pets than children. We’re also more likely to want to experience adventures with our beloved canine companions, than settle down into a costly home like generations before us. It’s interesting to reflect on what the pet industry has become, and more thoroughly investigate those driving factors.
