This year has been terrible for me. My stepdad has stage four cancer, which has basically made everything suck. My depression has been up and down, and the sadness in my family has been real. But what’s the one constant in my life that I can always depend on? My animals. My babies are always there for me no matter what. Whether I’m having a horrible day or a rare wonderful day, my dogs and cats love me and show no judgement. Sometimes I feel like a bad mom because my depression gets me down, but my six kids always help me stay afloat. It’s Pet Appreciation Week, so I want to share some ways that you can show your pets appreciation!

First Weekend of November Fun With My Son!
Due to my hypothyroidism, I don’t often have enough energy to attend an all day event or multiple events in a day. Sometimes I feel like a rock star, other days I struggle to work through the fatigue. I had planned on attending the AAWL & SPCA Walk to Save Animals on November 5th, and then meeting up with my girlfriends and their dogs for an evening movie. I literally prayed that I’d be feeling well enough to do both. Turns out, I was! And what a fantastic day it ended up being!
