I’m addicted to my dog. It could be worse, right?! It could be drugs, alcohol, shopping…but nope. I’m addicted to Wynston. But I say that loosely. It’s not by any means an unhealthy addiction – I simply cannot imagine living my days without my little boy.
Dog Mom Problems: The Challenge of Having Three Dogs
It was a typical September day. The weather was still hot and I was spending another day working at home. When it came time for me to take a break, I walked into my bedroom and my phone went off. It was a text message from the manager of Happy Pets Palace & Playground. I’ll never forget the moment. I looked down at my phone to see a photo of the cutest white fluffy dog I had ever seen with the caption “Know anyone who wants a puppy?” This beautiful baby girl had been left by someone at the facility. When I laid eyes on the little ball of fluff, my heart melted and my life forever changed. At that moment, my life went from revolving around one dog to having to split my time between two.
Fast forward – now I have three dogs and it is more of a challenge than I ever expected. I love my crazy household but having more than two dogs has definitely presented it’s difficulties.
How to Put Together an Easter Basket for Your Dog!
Just as I buy Christmas gifts for my dogs, I put together an Easter basket for each of them every year. Although Wynston, Khloee and McKenzie Rae don’t understand the whole Easter concept, they do know that there are lots of goodies to enjoy when they see the baskets. Here’s how you can put together an Easter basket for your dog!

How Febreze In-Wash Odor Eliminator Saved Wynston’s Pink Sheets!
When I rescued Wynston back in February 2012, I was single and living on my own in an apartment. At the time, I had bright pink flowery sheets because I was embracing my inner girly-girl. Over the years, Wynston has always preferred to sleep in the bed with me. I never thought anything of it until Matt and I moved into our house in 2013. I kept the pink sheets but they were on a bed in our guest room. Wynston started sleeping there on a consistent basis. After some time, I realized that he was sleeping on that bed because the flower sheets brought him comfort. In the meantime I was washing the sheets frequently and one day while they were in the washer, the unit completely broke down. I didn’t realize it for a few hours but when I did, the sheets smelled like mildew. I was very upset, thinking I was going to have to throw away Wyn’s comfort sheets. I put them in a plastic bag and put it in the garage. Thankfully we got a new washer and when I had the opportunity to try Febreze In-Wash Odor Eliminator, I knew the first product I was going to wash was the sheets. I wanted Wynston to be able to sleep on them again. The mildew smell was really awful and I didn’t have confidence that it would ever go away.
Mommy and Me Monday – Running Errands!
It’s the continuation of our “Mommy and Me Monday” series! I had some errands to run today so it was the perfect opportunity to spend some time with my boy. Luckily most of the places we shop are dog friendly so I packed up Wynston and headed out, blanket and treats in hand.
