I’m not in the best shape. Looking at me, you may think otherwise, but I’m definitely out of shape. Let’s just say I need to do more cardio, but right now I’m limited due to some issues with my right hip. Anyways, I’ve been telling Matt that I want to spend more time exploring our beautiful state because nature bring us both so much serenity. After asking some of my friends for suggestions, Matt and I took the three dogs to the Pine Trailhead in Pine, AZ. It was easy, quick and perfect.
Dog Mom Problems: The Challenge of Having Three Dogs
It was a typical September day. The weather was still hot and I was spending another day working at home. When it came time for me to take a break, I walked into my bedroom and my phone went off. It was a text message from the manager of Happy Pets Palace & Playground. I’ll never forget the moment. I looked down at my phone to see a photo of the cutest white fluffy dog I had ever seen with the caption “Know anyone who wants a puppy?” This beautiful baby girl had been left by someone at the facility. When I laid eyes on the little ball of fluff, my heart melted and my life forever changed. At that moment, my life went from revolving around one dog to having to split my time between two.
Fast forward – now I have three dogs and it is more of a challenge than I ever expected. I love my crazy household but having more than two dogs has definitely presented it’s difficulties.
Chase Field to Become the First Dog-Friendly MLB Ballpark in the U.S.
This is super big news. Well, for me at least. I’ve been a HUGE Arizona Diamondbacks fan since I was 13 years old. I watch every game of every season. I’ve been to playoff games, too many spring training games and have waited long hours for player autographs. Two years ago, Matt and I took Wynston to “Bark in the Park,” a dog friendly baseball game at the D-back’s Chase Field. The proceeds benefited the AAWL and we had a designated area to sit during the game. It was amazing. I just wished that I could take Wynston to a game whenever I want – and that dream just came true.
Dog Friendly Arizona Hike: Hieroglyphic Trail
Today Matt and I took McKenzie Rae, Khloee and Wynston to the Superstition Wilderness area to check out a new trail. We chose to try the Hieroglyphic Trail, as it was said to be a fairly easy, short hike. Well, it turned out to be not so easy.
The Dog Friendly Monument Peak Loop Trail in Payson, AZ
So, let’s recap. January has been flippin’ nuts. My brother came home on leave from the Army, Matt and I got engaged, we booked our wedding venue, I attended the bridal expo and bought my dress, I had some dental work done, we bought a new SUV and I announced my BlogPaws Ambassador & Speaker news. After an insanely crazy last week of January, I decided I deserved a day of fun! Since Matt and I just bought a brand new Subaru Forester, we decided to head up north to Payson, AZ for a day of hiking with the pups! Our destination: Monument Peak Loop Trail.
