This year was terrible. Like, I would gladly forget about 2017 if I could. It started rough and it only got worse. Time to get real here – I ended up in therapy and questioning my whole purpose in life. I suppose we all have times like that, but the good news is I’m working to better myself and my outlook on life. The BEST news?! I’ve always had my one constant – Wynston. He is literally the reason I survived, and many mornings he’s been the reason to get out of bed. Wynston has ultimately been the best therapist, medicine and anxiety relief. Allow me to share with you how Wynston helped me survive 2017. Perhaps you can relate.
2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport: The Perfect Dog Mom Mobile!
Being a Millennial, when I hear “Mitsubishi” the first cars that come to mind are the Lancer and Eclipse. I mean, hello?! The Fast and the Furious anyone? I’ll be honest – until I tested out the 2018 Outlander Sport, the Fast and Furious movies were the extent of what I knew about anything Mitsubishi.
When I was granted the opportunity to drive the Outlander Sport for 10 days, I was extremely curious and excited. I had so many questions about Mitsubishi. Although I have extensive car knowledge, there are brands that I really don’t know anything about. Then it happened; the beautiful car showed up in my driveway and it was love at first sight! My friends, the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is the perfect dog mom mobile, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you.
My New Tattoo: Wynston’s Paw Prints!
A couple of years ago, someone from a pet brand told me this; “We’re trying to help pet parents cherish relationships with their pets while they’re alive, rather than just memorializing them once they’ve passed away.” This simple statement really got me thinking. Why is it that we go through so much trouble to remember our pets when they die instead of focusing on making amazing memories with them while they’re still with us? I began changing my approach when I got a portrait of Wynston painted through Paint Your Life. I realized that I want paintings, photos and tattoos that I can enjoy while Wynston is still gallivanting through life with me, instead of trying to relive it when he’s dead. This way when I look at that painting or my new tattoo, I have fond memories of us together. This brings me to my latest and greatest development; my tattoo of Wynston’s paw prints on my arm.
DIY Mini Doggy Cupcakes
My most popular treat recipe, DIY doggy cupcakes, inspired me to create a different mini version. I was prompted to do so because all three of my dogs are 15lbs or less, so I have to cut the regular size cupcakes. Mini cupcakes are a great option for small dogs but also for bigger dogs who don’t necessarily need a large treat. I made these delicious DIY mini doggy cupcakes themed for Christmas, but you can change it up for any holiday or celebration. Enjoy!
