In July 2013, my cat Edison ran away. Everything about it was my fault and I continue to hold onto the guilt. Although I still cry over Edison, I want to save other pet parents from the heartbreak I go through everyday because of his loss. I share my story of Edison running away in hopes of educating others on how they can keep their pets safe. For Lost Pet Prevention Month, I want to revisit Edison’s story and suggest ways that you can save yourself from every pet parent’s worst nightmare. I’m giving away an ID collar and tags so you can keep your pups and kitties protected at all times!
Dog Mom Life: Bathroom Redesign, Killer Ants and Backyard Bonding
We’ve officially lived in our new house for one week, and it’s been a crazy one. A blur, really. Although I’m trying to enjoy it, Matt and I have been hard at work so we can get everything unpacked and looking nice before he starts his new job on July 18th. We are heading to our CA this coming weekend for a wedding so we’ll be losing time. On top of that, we have to get our old house cleaned up before the end of the month. AHHHH! I’ve been wanting to pull my hair out but it’s been so worth it. So, what’s new with the house? Matt and I got the den and guest bathroom painted, I did four hours of yard work this morning and my kids are settling in nicely!
We’re Settled Into Our New Home!
After one official day of moving and three unofficial days of moving, we’re finally settled into our new home!
Things Dog Moms Do That We Don’t Really Want To Do
Dog mom life can seem glamorous. Red carpet events, fancy doggy fashion shows, cool adventures, fun photo shoots. It all looks super great on the outside. I suppose it’s kinda like human moms. We see all the photos of adorable smiling faces at the park but what we don’t see is the tantrums, screaming and tears that come later. With that being said, there are many things that dog moms do that we don’t really want to do. We deal with difficulties like human moms, just in a different way. Instead of talking about how fantastic my dog mom life is, I’m going to get real here.
We’ve Arrived at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass for #BlogPaws!
I seriously cannot believe that the time has come for BlogPaws 2016! I feel like I was just in Nashville for the 2015 conference! This year were very lucky to be able to check into the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass one day early. This has allowed us to get settled into the hotel with no stress. We got to walk around, order room service and see some of our friends already!
