Traveling to Arizona?! Well you’re in luck because this very diverse state is extremely dog friendly. Whether you’re up north in Sedona, cruising the Phoenix valley or scouring the south near Tucson, there is a fun dog friendly attraction you can enjoy almost anywhere!
The Dog Party Hosts Howl-o-ween at Bink’s Midtown!
I don’t usually participate in Halloween events with my dogs because both Khloee and Wynston despise costumes. One year I got Wynston a cow outfit and he wouldn’t even move in it…anyways I saw a flier for Howl-o-ween hosted by Bink’s Midtown and The Dog Party and knew I had to go! I love The Dog Party and the wonderful ladies who own it so I figured I’d take Wynston. What’s better than enjoying a low-key Halloween event on the patio while eating yummy food and browsing dog mom merchandise? Sounds like the perfect Sunday to me!
My Frustrating Friday
I was really excited for today. My girlfriends and I had plans to take our pups to Vertruccio Farms, which has a dog friendly corn maze and pumpkin patch. We went last year and it was an absolute blast! Well, when we drove into the parking lot this morning, our plans changed quickly.
Pine Trees and Puppies in Payson!
It seems like just yesterday that my mom was talking about buying a second home in Payson, AZ. I can’t believe a year has already gone by! Payson is only about 1.5 hours north of the greater Phoenix valley, so it’s the perfect place to have a home to escape the heat and desert. Payson is extremely different from the desert – the mountains still exist but they are filled with greenery and pine trees instead of dirt and cactus. The temperatures run much cooler than Phoenix. During the winter the temps can drop as low as 20 degrees or so, but normally they stick around 30-40 degrees. They will get snow, but most likely a light dusting. It’s truly wonderful because you can enjoy the winter season without freezing to death and shoveling snow for hours.
Coffee, Art and Local Produce – Our Morning in Downtown Gilbert
My favorite thing to do as a dog mom is get together with my dog mom friends! I love the fall, winter and spring in Arizona because the weather is nice enough to go on outdoor outings all the time. Downtown Gilbert is a hot spot in the area with many dog friendly restaurants and a weekly farmer’s market. I’d say this is one of the many reasons I love Gilbert – it’s incredibly dog friendly. So today I got together with my girlfriends for coffee, the Gilbert Art Walk and to browse local produce and products at the farmer’s market.
