I grew up terrified of dogs. My earliest memories with dogs are of my cousin being bitten by the neighbor dog and me getting chased down the street by one. Oddly enough, none of my friends had dogs when I was growing up. Since I wasn’t raised around them, the familiarity was not there. I was simply uneducated about the whole concept of dogs. Nowadays it seems like a majority of families have a pet, and most likely a dog. Of course, I believe that pets are family members. As parents, grandparents, older siblings, or whatever family role we play, we need to be teaching children about animals – how to respect them, how to treat them, and how to greet them. If we don’t teach these extremely important life lessons, it could end up in an animal abuse or bite situation. So let’s talk about it…

Peach Loop Trail: Payson, AZ
When I say a hike is difficult, that could mean something different to a really experienced hiker. I have a bad hip and small dogs, but I try to be reasonable when ranking the ease of hikes. I figure that most people have two good hips LOL. Either way, the Peach Loop Trail in Payson, AZ was moderately easy for a majority of the hike. Toward the end when we literally had to fall down the side of a mountain, it became super adventurous…and dangerous.
Win $350 Worth of NOW Pets Products! Review & Giveaway #NOWPetsSweeps
For most of us, pets are family. You know me – my dogs and cats are my “kids,” and I want them to live the longest, healthiest lives possible. As our pets age, they start to exhibit signs of joint pain, slowing down and maybe even a weakened immune system. Wouldn’t it be great if as pet parents we could be proactive and supportive of our fur friend’s potential health concerns? Well, now we can be with a plethora of options available to us. With Wynston approaching five years old and Joey turning six this June, I want to be sure that I am doing the best I can to make their everyday life comfortable and pain free. I know that five and six sound young, but there’s no age limit on being proactive! Wyn and Joey have been on NOW® pet supplements for about a month now and I’m excited that I’m contributing to their continued optimal health.
Our Road Trip to California – May 2016
Many of you know that Matt and I have a second home located in La Verne, CA. We like to go there to relax, hit up the beach and enjoy the small town feel that La Verne offers. We hadn’t been to the house since October 2015. Since then we’ve rescued McKenzie Rae and bought a more suitable SUV for our growing doggy family. We also hadn’t seen Matt’s grandma since we got engaged. Her house is on our way to La Verne so we decided it’d be a good opportunity to drop in on her. This trip was McKenzie’s first road trip and it was a success.
