Did you know that 80% of your pet’s body is water? Let’s put this into perspective – human bodies are made of 55-60% water. Think you’re feeling thirsty and dehydrated this summer? Wynston’s Tracheal Collapse Strikes Again!
Yesterday Wynston nearly gave me a heart attack. Last year he was diagnosed with intrathoracic tracheal collapse, from which he had several coughing and honking attacks everyday. After his official diagnosis, I opted for a holistic treatment instead of western medicine, such as inhalers and steroids. The treatment has worked wonders. Within a month of his diagnosis I saw significant improvement. Now almost a year later, he rarely has episodes. But yesterday was strange. He had a very terrifying episode.

So it’s time to face the facts.

I’m one of those people who first and foremost recognizes that the 4th of July is our Independence Day (I was a history major, after all!). Well this year when you’re getting set to have a fantastic day off work, remember to include your pups and be weary of their safety. Here are some safety tips for letting your dogs in on your Independence Day celebration.
